Gate of Heaven Beautification Project!

Gate of Heaven Cemetery is committed to creating and maintaining a beautiful, serene, and prayerful atmosphere for families to visit with loved ones.  As part of this effort, we have begun a Beautification Project!   Section 3 is our first step in this endeavor which will span over the next two to three years as we move through the cemetery sections.  Gate of Heaven already has a variety of trees and we want to create a more park like setting where each species of tree can be seen and enjoyed.  An even greater diversity in tree species will help to protect against future bugs or diseases that could potentially damage a whole species of trees similar to the threat from the recent Emerald Ash Borer.  The old and overgrown bushes and beds will be removed in order to bring into view the beautiful statuary and private mausoleums around the cemetery.  We hope this transformation will bless all of our families with an even better experience on these sacred grounds.
