Since the first interment in 1948, God’s presence continues to permeate these 160 acres of sacred ground here at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
With great respect and appreciation for all of the individuals and families that have shared their sentiments and experiences at Gate of Heaven, we share with you this video compilation, which illustrates a few of the “whats, wheres, whys and hows” of our vocation to promote the spirit of Christian peace and joy.
Pedro’s Story at Gate of Heaven Cemetery
Bringing Union with God
Pedro kindly shares his story and love of the beauty at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. He also shares the peace that he feels every time that he visits the cemetery.
“I Thirst” is the section of the cemetery where his wife and son are interred. He shares how every time that he visits his loved ones interred at Gate of Heaven, that it brings him close to them and in union with God.
Leading God’s Children in Prayers for Souls – Being Together, Praying Together
Lisa’s Story at Gate of Heaven Cemetery
Lisa kindly shares her story of leading families from her church in prayer every year here at Gate of Heaven. The Sacred Heart Club from her church, continue their tradition to bring their families on the first Saturday of November to pray for the souls of those from their church interred here. Lisa, also leads their Sacred Heart Club through the Stations of the Cross at Gate of Heaven every year during Lent.
By joining together in prayer on this sacred ground every year, it helps “water the seeds” of their little ones in God’s words. They find peace by being together and praying together here as His Family, in His name.
