My First Christmas in Heaven

Every month, Gate of Heaven has a Month’s Mind Mass, which is a Holy Mass for the families and friends in memory of their loved one who was interred at Gate of Heaven the month before.

Our Celebrant Fr. Pat Crone, always shares a special prayer, or poem, before the closing of the liturgy. At the end of this past Thursday’s mass, December 19, he kindly shared this one written by a 13 year old boy “Ben.”

Ben wrote this poem “My First Christmas in Heaven” for his mother before he died of a brain tumor. He died in 1997, and that year he spent his first Christmas with Jesus!
