Looking Back with Gratitude – Looking Forward with Hope
It is with a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose that I share with you the many accomplishments that the team at Gate of Heaven Cemetery has realized in the past year. Our ministry to serve families during the planning and fulfillment of the sacred task of securing the final resting place and funeral rites of their loved ones continues to inspire every enhancement to our grounds and services.
In recent months, several meaningful additions have been introduced. The new mausoleum complex dedicated to Saint Padre Pio and Saint Gertrude now stands as sacred space encouraging reflection and prayerful intercession. The installation of the Baptism of Christ sculpture and fountain columbaria adds a profound spiritual dimension to the existing columbaria, reminding us of our baptismal promises and hope in the resurrection. To better accommodate our visitors, we have expanded the chapel parking facilities and our team continues to work hard to enhance the beauty of our grounds.
We are blessed with a dedicated and dynamic team, which continues to grow in response to the needs of the community for this sacred ministry. Their passion and commitment reflect our mission to serve families with compassion and excellence.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the 2025 addition of Private Family Estates section, which will provide families with distinguished, private burial spaces. This project is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2025.
At Gate of Heaven Cemetery, we are honored to serve the families of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Together, we uphold the corporal work of mercy to bury the dead, and the spiritual work of mercy to care and pray for those who grieve, while trusting in the promise of eternal life and our oneness in Christ.
Honoring Life on Sacred Ground.
Christ Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.
May God bless you now and always,
Thomas Jordan, CCCE
Director of Cemeteries, Archdiocese of Cincinnati
