Month’s Mind Mass

Every month, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Archdiocese of Cincinnati has a mass of remembrance, the Month’s Mind Mass, for family and friends, whose loved one was interred, buried here on this sacred ground the month before. It is very special in many ways for so many that attend, and also for those of us from Gate of Heaven that are a part of the liturgy.

This Month’s Mind Mass commemorates the deceased about 30 days after their passing – one month after the initial shock and grief of death. It is a time to honor the dead with prayers and a time to hope that their lives and deaths will have lasting meaning.

The December Month’s Mind Mass is on Thursday, January 15th at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Joseph Chapel at the Gate of Heaven Administration Building.
